Allegoria | Lorenzo Lippi, 1642
Proposal: A video screen is hung to the right of the canvas, a camera is installed between the canvas and the screen, at eye level of the Allegory. The screen retransmits what the camera records with a delay of twenty seconds. The visitor is invited to take a photo of the whole thing.
An Allegory in painting, already a language beyond the image, an allegorical portrait placed in counterpoint to another portrait, that of the anonymous artist who takes the image and looks at it. Who is behind the mask?
